Central Alberta Photographer looking for models

If you are interested in being a model we are constantly looking for people. As a commercial/advertising photographer we scout talent that is comfortable in front of the camera and likes seeing their pictures in magazines and on billboards.

Our favourite themes are diversity with children and college students, families and extended families, and retirement living. We also do many sports and dance shoots.

We want pictures of you outside, in our studio, on location, or in your home. Most of all we want pictures of you in an environment you are comfortable with.

We do very little fashion and glamour and absolutely no nude or implied nude. All our shoots are family friendly and fun - they type of stuff that promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Do I need to be a professional model?

No! You just need to be comfortable in front of the camera. We are looking for all types of people.

How much will the photoshoot cost me?

The photoshoot is completely free to you.

What will I receive for doing the photoshoot?

We work that out on a case-by-case basis depending on your level of experience, the type of shoot you are a part of, and how much we have worked together in the past.

What kind of pictures will be taken at the photoshoot?

I specialize in lifestyle pictures. I like to have a happy and fresh look to my portfolio. College students, sports, families, businesses, and senior adults are a few of my favourite subjects. We like to work primarily with themes that can be used commercially. There are an endless number of themes we can do. Often we will take a few minutes from each photoshoot to do some religious pictures. My religious pictures have been purchased and used by Focus on the Family, Amazing Facts, It is Written Canada, and several other organizations for advertising that is sent out across the country and internationally.

Where will my pictures be used?

The pictures are sold with royalty-free licenses to designers through picture libraries also called stock agencies. Depending on the specific license the designer purchases they can be used in magazines, websites, brochures, books, leaflets, television, and other forms of advertising. Our images have been on book covers, magazine covers, and gigantic billboards. The photo libaries have strict terms and conditions of with what can and cannot be done with each picture so you shouldn't worry about it being abused. If someone wants to abuse a picture they will probably steal it rather than purchasing it from a photo library. For a list of the agencies we are associated with click on the clients/partners link.

Here are two quotes from the photo libraries terms for buyers:

"You may NOT use an Image in a way that places any person in the photo in a bad light or depicts them in a way that they may find offensive - this includes, but is not limited to: a) the use of Images in pornography; b) tobacco ads; c) ads for adult entertainment clubs or similar venues, or for escort, dating or similar services; d) political endorsements; e) advertisements for pharmaceutical products, including, but not limited to personal hygiene or birth control products; and f) uses that are defamatory, or contain otherwise unlawful, offensive or immoral content."

"You may "NOT" use or display any Content that features a model or person in a manner that (i) would lead a reasonable person to think that such person uses or personally endorses any business, product, service, cause, association or other endeavour; or (ii) that depicts such person in a potentially sensitive subject matter, including, but not limited to mental and physical health issues, social issues, sexual or implied sexual activity or preferences, substance abuse, crime, physical or mental abuse or ailments, or any other subject matter that would be reasonably likely to be offensive or unflattering to any person reflected in the Content"
