It will make you laugh, and cry, and give hope to those who may not have found their "Gilbert" or "Anne." ...Well, it might not make you cry, but.... Just check it out.

Based on my previous 10 blogs or so, you can probably tell what I have been into recently: photography and running. Just yesterday I received a bonus for making the Japan English Language Schools' web site. I wasn't expecting it at all, but obviously I'm not going to turn it down. So anyway, I went in to Yorobashi Camera in Yokohama and had a shopping spree for camera accessories. I got myself a 50mm prime lens, monopod, polarized filter, and flash suppressor.

On the drive home today, I took advantage of the 50mm prime lens and monopod. The great thing about the 50mm lens is the f1.8 aperture. That allows me to take better pictures with less light because the shutter opens wider allowing more light in with a shorter shutter speed.

Anyway, below are a few of the pictures I got around dusk on the drive home.

Also, below are some low light fun shots I took the other day.

With this shot, I set the shutter to remain open while Terri Lynn and I flashed a light on ourselves in three different locations with three different poses.

With this picture I set the shutter to stay open for about four seconds while zooming out of the poinsetta and candle.

With this picture I set the shutter speed to about four seconds while holding it zoomed in on Terri Lynn for one second, then zooming out and holding it in the out position for about two seconds.

I was somewhat proud of a few of the pictures I took while at the Sankeien Gardens in Yokohama. I'll post my three favorite below:

Because they have been compressed so much, the quality is not as good. I have also posted them in my "Scenery" picture album.
