 History of Kaspi
We started Christopher Futcher Photography in 2008 primarily shooting stock and weddings in Alberta, Canada. In 2010 we moved to the Greater Toronto Area. In 2011 we renamed the company Kaspi, short for Kilikopela's Aperture Studio Photography Inc. In 2012 we added low-level aerial photography and video to the portfolio. Today we primarily focus on aerial video and stock photography.
About Us
We (Christopher and Terri Lynn Futcher) have two children and a golden retreiver. Chris is from Hawaii and Terri Lynn is from Oshawa. Chris likes photography and RC helicopters. Terri Lynn likes running and writing.
In the summer we like to go to the cottage. We enjoy spending winters in Phoenix, Arizona. When we are not working we are probably out playing.
Between the two of us (Chris & Terri Lynn) we have lived in Canada, USA, Japan, Mali, and Guyana. Japan was probably our favourite.
While I (Chris) was in the US Navy I was a rescue swimmer with HSL-51 (a helicopter squadron in Japan) and religious programs supervisor for Naval Air Facility, Atsugi. I got to jump out of helicopters and assist chaplains. Two very different jobs. I also had the opportunity to run the Tokyo and Boston Marathon.
While Terri Lynn was a missionary in Mali, Africa she had the opportunity to ride a camel to Timbuktu. And when she lived in Guyana she didn't get eaten by a jaguar despite her long runs through the jungle. |
